The invention relates ti impact-testing mechanism and more especially to a novel and useful mechanism for performing both Izod and charpy impact tests. The invention consist in the novel parts, contructions, arrangements, combinations and improvements.
The invention is directed to providing a mechanism for preforming several types of impact test where in the resistance of a specimen to breakng under sudden impact is measured by the terminal travel of a pendulum hammer after the breakage of the specimen.
This is yet another example of an impact test that test the resistance of a material and sees how fragile or robust it is.
